James McClements

James co-founded Resource Capital Funds Management LLC (RCF) and as Managing Partner has led its strategic direction, growth, and expansion since its founding in 1998. He pioneered the mining-focused private equity space and has 35+ years of experience in the mining and private equity industry. He has a background in project identification, analysis and development, project finance, valuation, M&A, and sourcing capital across both private and public markets. Prior to launching RCF, James was a natural resources sector banker with N.M. Rothschild in Australia and the U.S., and with Standard Chartered Bank. He began his professional career with BHP Limited. James has extensive Board experience serving on multiple public and private RCF portfolio companies. Currently, he serves on the board of directors of three mining companies: Mineral Resources Ltd. where he is the Non-Executive Chairman, Ausenco Pty Ltd. (a RCF portfolio company), and Global Advanced Materials Pty Ltd. (a RCF portfolio company). He is the Acting Chair of the WA Museum Foundation.
